Notably on July 10, 1974, "The Canadian Statesman" in Bowmanville reported: "The first indefinite suspension was handed out to driver... Art Robinson of Whitby, when he started using his fists on another driver after a mishap at the conclusion of the Diamond Class Division involving three cars." Eventually, hot-headed Art decided to become Westgate Speedway's owner in 1976. He continued racing in his 01 car as an owner-promoter.
