José Alfredo Carrera
José Alfredo Carrera is a Venezuelan/Spanish filmmaker currently based in Quito, Ecuador. In 2020 he graduated from Universidad San Francisco de Quito with a Bachelors in Filmmaking and a minor in Dramaturgy and Film Studies. His student short film "Land of Duendes" won a COCOA Award for best film project... at his university, as well as the award for best student documentary short film at the Kunturñawi Film Festival. His second short film "2x1" (still set to premier) tells the story of two desperate employees who try and save their precious pirated movies store. He currently works as an audiovisual director in several projects for the "Instituto de Medicina Social y Desafíos Globales" at San Francisco University of Quito and in various theater realted projects.
