Synopsis

Zeinab by Zeinab Mir is about how an Iranian girl is forced to change her name under the pressures of racism and Islamophobia in Australia. ‘Comics for me is a democratic art form which anyone can access and attempt to make. They can tell a story and still be creative and artistic within it. Having lived in Australia for 15 years, my art reflects my experiences of hardship and the struggles undergone to create a new life.
