Synopsis

The series is a story about the fate of two Krakow families, its action takes place in the years 1874-1914. The series is an adaptation of works by writers from Young Poland and the interwar period, such as: Michał Bałucki (Dom otwarty - episode 1) Gabriela Zapolska (Sezonowa miłość - episode 2; Moralność pani Dulskiej - episode 7; Śmierć Felicjana Dulskiego - episode 8) Jan August Kisielewski (W sieci - episode 3; Karykatury - episode 4; Ostatnie spotkanie - episode 5) Zygmunt Kawecki (Dramat Kaliny - episode 6) Juliusz Kaden-Bandrowski (Łuk - episode 8) The texts of these authors were put together by screenwriter Joanna Olczak-Ronikier. In this way, a work was created that shows the image of Polish society at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
