Synopsis
This film was made during the inspection of the Brazilian border with French Guiana. At the time, the system of mountains in the north of Brazil, from the Pico da Neblina (literally, Fog Peak), Brazil’s highest mountain, to the Tumucumaque mountain range, was called Parimã. Images of the tour include the Oiapoque river, Saramacá Indians, Guyanese blacks, the city of Saint-Georges, and the Clevelândia agricultural penal colony, created by the Americans. It features views of the rivers, forests, animals, and the Indians and their daily lives.
